In Colombia there are few findings about the validation studies of Diener's evidence on subjective well-being, unlike other Latin American countries and Europeans in which its use is most frequent today. Diener's scales have been used and adapted in different countries with studies of great relevance, generating expectations and opening the validation process in Colombian population. In this study, the results of some of the works that were carried out as seedlers linked to the project are presented “Study of the psychometric properties of the Diener Welfare scales in the Colombian population.” Objective: To determine the cultural relevance of the scales developed in others countries to assess the well-being perceived with Colombian population, by pilot test. Methodology: Type of study: Pilot study. Participants: 14 participants from the city of Santa Marta and Ciénaga Magdalena, Colombia. Instruments: Cognitive interview (EC), elaborated according to the established formats, which were 4 and also the 3 Diener scales that are going to be validated which are (Satisfaction with life, Flowering and SPANE) will also be used: personality and affectivity questionnaires for criterion validity, such as (PANAS, TIPI and LOT). Results: It was possible to find that the instruments produced favorable results for its application, as well as to know the suggestions made by the participants to issue the final instrument.
