Resumen
Fixed time artificial insemination (FTAI), has managed to notably increase the application of this type of technology applied to insemination in herds of milk and meat. The use of fixed time protocols is very favorable because it eliminates the costs of labor created in heat detection, it simplifies handling of herds in village sectors, it eliminates errors caused by heat detection, and it increases the pregnancy rate in the herds, equal to pregnant females – treated females. Among many of its other advantages, it improves the genetic make-up of the species and causes easier handling with respect to the surveillance of birth delivery. It’s had a noticeable increase in advantages and benefits compared to traditional methodologies used for heat detection.
