Resumen
The article starts from the consideration of feminism as a plural and critical movement; of ideas, denunciation and vindication, product of the social conflict that generates a position of subordination and inequality of women. The different scenarios where feminism develops in Europe and Latin America, the pillars or characteristics of feminism, feminist movements in Colombia, participation at social and political level are described. The peculiar relations of the movement with society are raised from considering some of the dilemmas that it faces, analyzing the constant redefinition of the second sex, from its action in the social field, from the dialectic between the feminine and masculine. The theoretical and practical implications of the tension between women's individuality and their gender identity are addressed. And finally, a feminist practice is defended that combines cultural elements of identity with a social policy of justice and equality, protection measures along with policies that advance the autonomy and freedom of women along with an invitation to generate research on sexual identities diverse.
