This degree is focused in the design and construction of the gauge tank for the laboratory of friction losses in the laboratory of hydraulic of the Cooperativa university of Colombia headquarters Villavicencio. With respect to how we can implement project approaches in the design and construction of sewage systems, sewage treatment plant, water treatment plant, canals, dams and other structures of importance in the management of different fluids and knowing that the importance of project is for the entire hydraulics structure being indispensable to know the expenditure that is circulating in a certain time or more known as the volume of water circulating in a time (flow). To determine that volume of water adjusted to the distribution network of the PVC and galvanized pipe that is in the laboratory of hydraulics, being necessary the design and construction of an additional work of name gauge that determines the amount of water delivered to the users, the regulations and control of the flow. The whole project is in evidence to the need to have a hydropower generating structure to relate the established practices of the friction loss laboratory. A measurement equipment was made of high precision flow rates both in volumes and times, it seeks to improve the method for the optimization of the test bench in friction losses in pipes and accessories of the laboratory for the development of the project, theme documents analyzed, the hydraulic cylinder was designed in AutoCAD, the tank was built with the tests and calibrations of the elements of measurement and finally a manual was developed to developed the laboratory of friction losses in the laboratory of hydraulic of the Cooperativa university of Colombia headquarters Villavicencio.
