Resumen
An extension program was led in Muzo (Boyacá) with Fundación Nacional para el Desarrollo Sostenible FUNDARED, whose purpose was the control of Mión or Salivazo of the pastures. Prior to the selection of the trails and the beneficiaries, a training session was made with livestock owners of the nineteen (19) villages of the municipality regarding the biological control of pests. The location of the farms in Cajón and Ejidos lanes was done for convenience and proximity to the urban area, to ensure the delivery of supplies and monitoring of the project. The degree of affectation in the meadows was determined by adapting the technique described by Castillo-Zeno (2006), using a PVC frame of 50 cm on each side and identifying the presence of nymphs and the masses of foam or "salivazos" within the framework, and the degree of affectation was determined, after the products were delivered and the recommendations for use were made.
