Resumen
Alcohol is a psychoactive substance with properties such as “Ethyl alcohol or ethanol is an alcohol that is presented as a colorless and flammable liquid with a boiling point of 78 ° C. When mixed with water in any proportion, it gives an azeotropic mixture. It is a clear and colorless liquid, with a burnt flavor and a characteristic pleasant smell. It is known simply by the name of alcohol. ”(Roberto, 2017) The harmful consumption of alcohol carries a heavy social and economic burden for societies. (WHO, 2015). Sue, D., Sue, DW, Azuara, S., & Delfín, S. (2010), it is mentioned, that with regard to alcohol abuse and dependence on it are, of course, substance abuse and dependence where the substance is alcohol. People who have any of these alcohol-related disorders are popularly referred to as alcoholics and their disorder as alcoholism. Problems with drinking can be shown in two ways. First, the person may need to use alcohol daily to function; that is, he or she may be unable to abstain. Second, the person may be able to refrain from consuming alcohol for certain periods, but fails to have control over his drinking once he has started. This person is an "excessive" alcohol drinker. Both drinking patterns can result in deterioration of relationships, loss of work, family conflicts and violent behavior when intoxicated. On the other hand, to carry out the research, we work with 3 subjects. Thus, it is relevant to name that the first subject, is 23 years old and resides in the southern area of Bogotá. The second subject is 25 years old and resides in the North Zone, and finally the third subject who is 23 years old and resides in the central zone. These three individuals have a common characteristic and that after having applied the question of AUDIT they reveal risk and harmful consumption. To collect information on the subject of alcohol, it was chosen to use as a tool the screening called AUDIT that was developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a simple method of screening for excessive alcohol consumption and as a support in the brief evaluation It can help in the identification of excessive alcohol consumption as a cause of the present disease. It also provides a framework for intervention to help drinkers with harmful or risky drinking to reduce or stop alcohol consumption and thereby avoid the harmful consequences of their consumption. Babor, T. (2001). It should be stressed that, as the same author has mentioned, the AUDIT was developed from an extensive validation study carried out in six countries. Additional research studies have been carried out to assess its accuracy and usefulness in different contexts, populations and cultural groups. In addition, the AUDIT differs from other autopase screening tests in that it was based on data collected from a large multinational sample, using an explicit statistical-conceptual rationing for item selection. To conclude with this idea, it can be said that the AUDIT test is a quantitative approach test since it collects numerical, measurable, quantifiable data, based on the positivist epistemological current. That allows to explore the three cases of young adults.
