The objective of this study was to make an approach to the conceptualization and implementation of the values framed in Colombian SMEs to allow their economic and organizational strengthening. Within its bases, references to ethical development in the field of Business Administration and the relationship of values in the growth and development of companies are described. Likewise, it was found that the development of values in Colombia must start from an endogenous approach produced from the social sphere and in the use of organizational values, immersions in the constant changes of the business sector. In fact, the environment conditions the behavior of the members of the company, such that ethical patterns are transmitted in the work environment. The absence of these values creates gaps that lead to inappropriate behavior at the business level, which expose those affected to having effects that influence various factors, whether economic or corporate. This absence of values drastically conditions the development and growth of Colombian SMEs within the business sector nationally and internationally. Finally, the study identified the importance of the implementation in a transversal and explicit way of corporate values within the structure of the associations that is an established newspaper in Colombia, to achieve this it is necessary that Colombian companies give a change in their structure and adopt in its bases the Corporate Values.
