The Cooperative University of Colombia as an institution based on cooperativism and social commitment advances in strengthening the cooperative model and the participation that young people have in it, so the purpose of this study is to know the perception that young people have of the city of Bogotá on cooperativism and the degree of acceptance. For this work, the diagnostic studies carried out in previous years by students of the Solidarity Monitors program of the Cooperative University of Colombia and the results of the diagnosis of perception that aims to study young people between 14 and 28 years of age were taken into account the city of Bogotá. In order to obtain positive results focused on the general objective, a question is posed in the approach of the problem where the attempt is made to diagnose the perception that young people in Bogotá have about cooperativism. And that in this way in future projects, strategies that encourage the active participation of the youth guild can begin. In the development of the foundation of the study, the general history of cooperativism and its presence in different countries is described. Some organizations and institutions that have been advancing programs that facilitate spaces for integration and participation of young people in cooperativism were taken into account, documents and statements that imply the importance and influence of young people in the sector have been mentioned. To comply with the objectives, three instruments were developed which were applied to a part of the population sample which are observation, interview and focus groups in different locations and in a personalized way where young people participated in the study, achieving Obtain information that supports the investigation. This report was made in order to contribute both to the program of solidarity monitors in its Coopjuvenil axis and to the Cooperative University of Colombia, with the aim of coming projects to contribute, ideas and opinions of young people about cooperativism so that in this way there are programs and activities that bring young people closer to the solidarity sector.
