The main purpose of this study is to analyze the social relevance of the undergraduate program of the Psychology faculty of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, headquarters of Santa Marta. At the same time, the employability indexes and the labor offer of graduates are known. Of said higher education entity. These investigations have a positive paradigm, of a quantitative type with a descriptive design. In the development of the work two questions arise, the first relationship to the needs and demands of the regional context, the task of the psychologist, how to intervene in front of the problems that are in their environment, the other question has reference to the Positioning of the graduate compared to other universities. The research yields satisfactory results, with a series of elements that explain the importance of the profile, skills and knowledge of the work, academic and social trajectories of graduates in psychology. For the development of this research study is considered as a reference point the documentation of the profile of graduates' competences, as well as the different labor competencies required by the work environment.
