Indigenous Justice is the set of norms based on their own cultural values and principles, with their own procedures and practices that regulate social life in the community and territory. Convention 169 and the Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples of the UN, opened important spaces for Indigenous Justice. Its implementation implies various challenges for justice systems in countries like ours. Colombia is a diverse, multicultural and multilingual country, with more than 84 indigenous peoples representing 3.4% of the national population, 65 languages, with a presence in 29.8% of the national territory, with significant advances in national legislation and international that protects and recognizes ethnic and cultural diversity and seeks to effectively guarantee the collective and individual rights of indigenous peoples.
