It is convenient to address the issue of Child Abuse its causes and consequences in the families of the first grade of Primary School Camilo Torres of the municipality of Santa Rosalia - Vichada, in order to prevent this problem due to the high statistical rates provided by the (ICBF) Colombian Family Welfare Institute. Child Abuse is a problem that is generating in society repudiation and indignation, due to the cases that occur daily with the children of our country. It should be noted that Child Abuse is not today, it is an issue that has been presented from generation to generation, according to the story this type of "punishment" was carried out with the purpose of maintaining proper conduct in minors. It is of full social knowledge that the State based on the convention of the rights of children has the obligation in the first instance to watch over, protect and care, in their biopsychosocial development, children and adolescents, and in this way when If some type of violation of your rights is generated, it must provide you with the priority and necessary comprehensive care. In order to get to work on the theme of this project, it was known that reference is made to Child Abuse in children and adolescents, therefore it focuses on two of the most important definitions that may be about Maltreatment Childish. First, the (WHO) World Health Organization defines Child Abuse as “Abuses and neglect that are under 18 years of age, and includes all types of physical or psychological abuse, sexual abuse, neglect , negligence and commercial or other exploitation that cause or may cause cause harm to the health, development or dignity of the child, or endanger their survival, in the context of a relationship of responsibility, trust or power. Exposure to partner violence is also sometimes included among the forms of Child Abuse. ”
