Disability in any of the areas of functioning of the individual often encounters barriers, demonstrating a social limitation, given by cultural, economic and educational obstacles that impede the inclusion and functionality of the person in contexts. Based on a literature review, it has been possible to build this document, in order to recognize disability and its process of inclusion as it has evolved and how educational inclusion of persons with disabilities is presented in the higher education environments. Definitions and conceptions are established around this, classifications and perspectives of disability, in order to finally make an analysis of inclusion in higher education, which requires new models and strategies for the development of new forms of according to the needs of the individual.
