Resumen
This article seeks to show how silence is used as a means of expression and communication by victims of child sexual abuse (ASI). More specifically, used when words do not usually express the victimizing event that occurred in children and adolescents (NNA). In Colombia there are statistical data that show that in the population 11% of 0 to 4 years of age, 24% of 5 to 9 years of age, 38% of 10 to 14 years of age, and 11.46% of 15 to 17 year olds are victims of sexual abuse. Taking into account that silence is a non-verbal language of the human being, it is closely linked with the psycho-socio-cultural factors of the interaction. For this reason, this article addresses a series of concepts, such as: characteristics of ASI; silence as an expression of the victims of ASI; the relationship of silence and shame in the ASI; and finally, the perspective of the Accommodation Syndrome is provided in cases of ASI. As well, these concepts are explored to facilitate the reader's understanding of said problem. To finalize the writing, a personal position is proposed in relation to the ASI and it was made clear that the empowerment and diffusion of cognitive-behavioral processes in the victims for their coping and prevention by professionals who take these cases is of utmost importance, considering the Children and adolescents as a protection objective, preventing risk behaviors from their environment.
