Resumen
Today a special cognitive dynamic revolves around the work of Alberto Baquero Nariño: Chronicles of Violence in the Llanos. I am not a friend of the author, but I know who he is, I know of his career in the city of Villavicencio and the Colombian Orinoquia, both of us have lived in the same city and we have crossed different floors because of parallel worlds. Alberto Baquero Nariño is a profession economist, specialist in economic and social planning, and a man of letters on the roads of savannah, mountains and jungles of the plain; In addition, Baquero Nariño plays an important role in the history of the plains of the Orinoquia and its culture. Without exaggerating we can affirm that one of his great concerns as a person, as academic and intellectual, is the llanera identity within a context of sustainable development. However, after long 50 years watching the cities or municipalities of Meta, Casanare, Arauca, Vichada, Guaviare, Guainía and Vaupés grow (conformation of the Orinoquia according to the CORPES and the specialists), it is necessary to recognize that this vast land of promise and hope has been convulsed over time, has been lost in the economic-political vicissitudes that have degenerated into the horror of violence.
