This project was born as an initiative for the option of a degree in professional practice in social projects, Solidarity Monitors Program with emphasis on the Coopambiental Axis, and focuses its development on the formulation of the Environmental Project University PRAU, that allows its integration with the Environmental Management System of the Cooperativa Universidad de Colombia and the fulfillment of the commitments acquired in it, articulating the activities, projects, campaigns and programs that the university is currently carrying out in the city of Bogotá. This process is carried out through a work of consultation and information gathering, both from internal sources (areas, decanatures and headquarters) and from external sources (Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development) allowing this information to be articulated in the three pillars that make up the Environmental Project University PRAU. It is clear that higher education should implement strategies, plans and actions for the improvement of the environment, as well as its conservation and rational use of resources, allowing sustainable development, pillar of environmental education. The University Environmental Project is implemented according to the needs and problems resulting from the previous research, which is carried out in the university community, in the same way in this project the active participation of the students is encouraged, allowing in this way the awareness and awareness in around the environmental issue. Universities, as scenarios for the construction of knowledge, have the greatest importance for society in general and in particular for Environmental Management, not only for the theoretical contributions to the work itself, but also for the possibilities of carrying out processes reflective, informed and argumentative that can contribute to the feedback of public policies of research and education.
