Resumen
The standardized presentation of the development of a practical diagnostic manual to provide a better service is part of the quality management system given that it provides greater confidence to both doctors and pet owners, because it provides the ability to provide a better diagnosis that considers the requirements in a coherent way, and generates a frame of reference for the continuous improvement of it. In the development of the degree modality, it was carried out with the monitoring of patients with neurological activities carried out in the Animal Health Foundation Veterinary Clinic, where patients with suspected neurological damage were subjected to a series of key questions asked to the owner to be able to reach a diagnosis; Questions such as: when does it start and what has been the evolution of neurological damage? Does it cost you to go up and down stairs to the patient? Does it cost more to go up or down the steps? recognizes the environment where it lives and if it has a normal behavior in its environment? is there pain on palpation? Once the review is obtained by the owner, it begins with the clinical history which must be accompanied by everything that is found during the physical examination, neurological examination, location, differential diagnoses, possible diagnostic tests, the patient's prognosis. and the treatment to follow. As a result, it was obtained that in the Practical Manual of Diagnosis in Dogs and Cats with Neurological Problems the clinical assessment requires a basic knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system, in order to elaborate a differential diagnosis, the diagnostic plan, the treatment plan and the prognosis which will depend on the location of the lesion. The neurological examination is the basic foundation to establish a correct clinical treatment of animals with neurological diseases.
