Resumen
The following work presents a systematic documentary review, with a narrative focus focused on exposing, describing; The themes of depression and emotional dependence in young people and adolescents between 15 and 25 years, in order to make a descriptive and retrospective analysis through a detailed search in various sources of information through the systematic review of literature. Therefore, the World Health Organization (WHO 2015) cited by Falcato, A. Hernández .H & Calzada, U. (2017) defines depression as a frequent mental disorder, characterized by the presence of sadness, loss of interest or pleasure, feelings of guilt or lack of self-esteem, sleep or appetite disorders, feeling tired and lack of concentration. While Castelló (2005) cited by Álvarez 2017 states that emotional dependence is the extreme emotional need that a person feels towards their partner throughout their different relationships. It also defines it as a persistent chronic pattern of unsatisfied emotional needs that are tried adaptively to cover other people. Research shows the relationship between emotional dependence, and depression in the face of losses such as death of a spouse or family member, separation or divorce, illness, breakup of spouses, marital conflicts, and the probability of the appearance of a major depressive disorder was established between 10 and 25 times higher than in the normal population (Cano, 2006) cited by Álvarez 2017.
