Resumen
The present study sought to establish the neuropsychological maturity of language in samarian children belonging to various institutions in Santa Marta, Colombia. Method: Through a descriptive, quantitative cross-sectional study, a group of 56 school children whose ages ranged from 7 to 11 years were evaluated with the language tests belonging to the CUMANES School Neuropsychological Maturity Questionnaire. Results: It was obtained that the majority of the evaluated ones obtained scores below the average in the tests of Understanding of Images, Phonological Fluidity, Semantic Fluidity, Reading Speed and Audiographic Writing. Discussion: Through the results, it can be shown that the sampling presents a probable neuropsychological immaturity of the language, although they are not diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders or with learning difficulties. Conclusion: The implementation of a technological tool, such as software, can be used as a means of intervention to work on the deficits presented by sampling.
