For decades, gender violence has been the subject of different investigations in the different branches of the human sciences; at present this problem has become a critical issue, due to its cultural, social and psychological implications in battered women. In different parts of the world, between 16% and 52% of women experience physical violence from their peers, and at least one in five women are subject to rape or attempted rape in the course of his life. (Article Violence Against Women, WHO) The above exposes a high percentage of this problem in the world and its different societies, this type of violence in homes has been presented with great boom, bringing future repercussions for infants of both sexes, although men who are witnesses of the beatings against their mothers and girls who witness the same type of violence, will have then a greater likelihood of establishing similar relationships by transmitting the violence of one generation to another. According to the study carried out by the Colombian Family Welfare Institute I.C.B.F. at 2003, on Intrafamily Violence in the Usme Zonal Center of the city of Bogotá, 100% of the researched 55% corresponds to the female population and 45% to the population masculine Likewise, the study showed that the most important risk factors for occurrence of violent events in the family, is the low or nonexistent educational level. Without However, according to the Guide to Attention to Intrafamily Violence, (2011) in Colombia during in 2012, 83,898 cases of Intrafamily Violence were recorded, with a reduction of 3.4% - 5,909 less cases- in relation to the immediately preceding year.
