Strategic Planning through Strategic Management, is increasingly important in companies as they achieve, develop and execute their strategic plans to better cope with the market and its changing conditions and even more with the accelerated progress of globalization. The implementation and implementation of the Strategic Plans in the companies gives better tools to face the market uncertainties, it provides a clear and shared horizon to all the employees, through the mission, vision, policies and corporate objectives, making to the enduring companies, the strategic plans go hand in hand with the study and analysis of their environment. The Strategic Direction plan for the company Arteaceros de Colombia Ltda, has the purpose of significantly improving the indicators of effectiveness and economic and social results. Strategic planning is the central point of the research, since it is of vital importance the business action for the business because it invites to reflect on the tasks to be undertaken and motivates the use of new work tools. The company since its creation lacks a strategic management model, does not have any document or manual that establishes standards and / or procedures, it is possible that ignorance and lack of clarity of the responsibilities of employees affect the quality of the company in In general, the lack of planning is characteristic of this company, which prevents the improvement of economic and social results. Currently the company is structured in the administrative, commercial, and production areas. Taking into account the current situation of the company we observe some positive and interesting aspects that must be maintained and consolidated, also aspects that are not counted and that must be reconsidered in order to overcome the deficiencies and consolidate their strengthening. Regarding the administrative area, it is relevant that the Board of Directors complies with the legal provision regarding meetings, which allows for the control, follow-up and approval of decisions. However, it is convenient to design the strategic direction, in order to establish the general guidelines that guide the work of the company. Decision making is also highlighted as a strength, managers are also polyfunctional, a factor that constitutes a guarantee of continuity, no business is postponed, no decision waits more than necessary due to the absence of one of the two, although in some cases It can generate work overload. The processes that make up the production area work in adequate quality conditions and in time to meet the needs of customers, taking into account the planning, guidelines and instructions that guarantee the work of each of the officials and the harmony of the section in as a whole, however, these processes are not documented, nor are there supports that determine the functions or activities of each of the operators. And finally the commercial situation found has some aspects that should improve such as the lack of a document with the functions and responsibilities of the area, the need to establish policies in writing in order to set in advance the proposed goals and incentives for their developing. As regards the selection of personnel in the commercial area, the profiles are well defined and it is important to highlight the knowledge of the portfolio and the experience in the commercial part that the sellers possess, which guarantees an adequate level of sales to the production capacity of the company.
