The study entitled "DEVELOPMENT OF DEMOCRATIC PRACTICES IN THE FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS OF COLLEGE OF FRANCISCO JOSE DE CALDAS VILLAVICENCIO" main objective is to identify strategies have been implemented in the educational institution Francisco José de Caldas Villavicencio, Francisco Miranda headquarters, to publicize the Constitution and promote democratic practices in the fourth grade students, in compliance with art. 41 of the Constitution, in order to strengthen this process through a training program by the researchers. To achieve the attainment of the objectives we proceeded to perform the relevant literature review in order to find the theories, standards and concepts to frame the research process. Similarly, action research was used, with the survey and unstructured interview the main instruments for data collection. As a result they could diagnose the actions being undertaken at Headquarters Francisco Miranda Education promote democratic practices in the fourth grade students. You designed and implemented a training plan, aimed at fourth graders, which contributed favourably to the implementation of Article 41 of the CP, especially the introduction of class actions and the development of democratic spaces through the creation of school governance. While it is true that the Constitution in its Article 41 establishes the obligation to teach civic participation mechanisms to children in educational institutions, such teachers do not have enough knowledge to teach these classes, and they recognize themselves as only guide some social issues. The guidelines laid down in Article 41 of the Constitution intended the training of children in the formation of democratic practices, to become better citizens and prevent vote buying, clienteles, corruption and other scourges that our Country suffers in their electoral system. The training plan implemented both teachers and students met the goals set under the test applied by the end of the talks.
