Resumen
The main objective of the present investigation was to describe the social representations with respect to Law 1448 of 2011, which dictates measures of attention, assistance and integral reparation to the victims of the internal armed conflict. The sample consisted of nine inhabitantsofthevillageCabecera- corregimientoCiénagadelOpón who participated voluntarily, recognized by the State as victims of forced displacement and disappearance. The focus of the research was qualitative ethnographic, allowing through interactive techniques, to deepen social phenomena, about the representations and symbols expressed in oral discourses that help to solve or unravel experiences lived by the community before, during and after victimizing events. The results of the investigation indicate that the participating population has an unfavorable perception about the Law, since they consider that transitional justice has developed an ineffective process that has not been able to legitimately respond to violations of the fundamental rightsofthecommunityCienagadelOpón suffered. They feel that they are not truly protected by the state authorities and perceive those in charge of protecting them as those who take advantage of their needs for personal gain, a situation that keeps them feeling violated by the State and its control bodies.
