In this study it was interesting to identify functional foods enriched with probiotics available in the market of Villavicencio, Meta, with inhibitory capacity against S. mutans. Also, select only those foods that do not excessively decrease the pH of the medium. For this, an exploratory study was carried out, where the different products supplemented with probiotics that are obtained in the chain supermarkets of Villavicencio were analyzed by means of laboratory tests. Among the laboratory tests carried out, were the inhibition tests and tests of pH measurements, before and after theincubation. Once the results were obtained, these measurements were compared to determine which are the ideal products to continue studying them as possible candidates for an in vivo study.
