Resumen
The sterilization campaigns, with surgical techniques, such as the Ovary hysterectomy, aim to reduce the incidence of tumors, cysts, pyometra, hormonal disorders, and mainly to prevent unwanted pregnancies of cats (Felis catus), controlling pet populations and mitigating the problem of abandonment in the streets, which leads to an increase in the transmission of infectious diseases, many of them zoonotic. Occasionally, findings of morphological changes associated with reproductive disorders of an infectious, congenital or acquired nature can be found, but there is not enough information. so this study aims to investigate the veracity of this approach through the analysis of the findings in an animal population and also update the existing information about it.
