Resumen
This study focuses on the imaginary of women that underlies the work of Santander writer Dan-iel Ferreira. The question that guided the research process was: what is the imaginary of women in the novel 'Rebellion of the useless trades' of Daniel Ferreira from Santander ?; and the general objective to establish the imaginary of women present in the novel 'The rebellion of the useless trades', because the writer expresses in this a Colombian microcosm that takes place in the origins of the armed conflict that the country has lived and in which the figure of women maintains aspirations of freedom, justice and equality. The theoretical referents that underlie the under-standing of the novel are the aesthetics of reception from the perspective of Wolfgang Iser and Hans Jauss; the notion of the model reader of Umberto Eco and the art as a sign of Jan Muk-ařovský. The methodology used during the research process was qualitative with a hermeneutic approach. This research project seeks to contribute to the sensitization of the eleventh grade stu-dents for whom the pedagogical proposal and the possible readers were built before the situation of women in the political, social and economic spheres.
