This investigation has as purpose adjust the Utrech Work Engagement Scale – UWES, English Version, in a sample of University Teachers full time of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, Villavicencio headquarter, for which were analized their psychometric properties as the validity and reliability. The UWES is a scale that evaluates the Engagement, defined as a positive and satisfactory state with the work (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003). It psychological construct proposes a boarding of the positive aspects of the organization, which are crucial to the health of workers and the optimal organizational performance. The study was interested in the adjustment, because the instrument has not been validated for Colombian population, specifically for the university teaching population, sustaining thus his relevancy in the high risk to level of health and of performance in the exercise of their educational labor. The sample was composed of 93 teachers of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia – Villavicencio headquater. The results of the measurement of internal consistency indicate a reliability adapted for the adjust scale, with a Cronbanch’s Alfa .889 for the total scale. Regading to the structure factorial, there are two dimensions that explain the 52.87% of the total variance of the depurated test, unlike the structure of three factors that compose the original scale.
