Resumen
At present the constant cultural changes have increased the number of pets in Colombian homes, services and the production of pet food is presumed to be one of the fastest growing sectors; One of the factors that have favored this situation is the empty nest syndrome, since those parents who are left alone or young couples who refuse to have children choose a pet to give their affection and care, becoming a necessity for the human being. Six out of ten families have a dog as a pet according to the study carried out by FENALCO in 2011. This increase in pets in the cities begins to pose several inconveniences of cohabitation, at the same time that it requires the revision of the interrelations that derive from this situation, many people do not have the spaces necessary to have their pets in optimal conditions, the integrity of the dog can be affected if the decent conditions for the animal are not met; evidencing that for what many is a problem for others is business opportunities, it is there where canine nurseries begin to play an important role for society. With this study we want to show how a business without numbers that have been generated from the search for welfare for pets work. Based on the characterization of the kindergartens in the town of Suba in the city of Bogotá, identifying the service offered and the additional services derived from it; It will be announced how canine nurseries work and where is the projection of this type of business in Bogotá and more specifically in the locality under study.
