Resumen
The research in Business Administration in Colombia has presented a low development in academic activities at higher education levels, the research teachers need tools to contextualize and present postulates that involve innate competences or that arise in the research process. The identification of these competences allows teachers in their research projects to establish elements that facilitate the development of skills that contribute to the search for suitable research practices in the area that wish to be involved, allowing them to build on their significant experiences; can generate interest in students mainly of Business Administration, which is the focus of this research project. The contribution of this research project is based on the identification of the research competences developed in the Business Administration teachers, performing an analysis where it is concluded that research training should be done more academically and not empirically.
