This project aims to provide members of the Educational Institution San Sebastian de la Plata, Huila, the ability to access the internet through the various technologies offered by our market at a relatively affordable cost To achieve this design alternatives are presented that involve the coexistence of a wired network with wireless, but also the possibility of unifying the design of the network in a single wireless network. Importantly, the requirements analysis is based mainly on direct observation of the needs of teachers, students and managers who demonstrate the great need of these institutions now be connected to the world and use new techniques communication offered by a more dynamic world.

The XXI century society is witness and enjoys two technologies that are very developed: the Internet and the mobile devices that have a great boom in the world population. The convergence of these technologies is becoming a challenge for individuals and companies wanting to become or remain competitive. Some service providers, in an effort to attract customers or get financial, commercial and /or face-toface returns, worry about external customers, invest in development and technology to leverage good profits, but they have failed to consider the needs of their internal customer. In Colombia, one of these companies is the National Taxes and Customs Administration (DIAN), which has improved its operating results but not necessarily its internal management. With the start up of this project there will be optimized the existing technology resources on DIAN, including a key component: it allows to take advantage of the mobile technology provided by mobile phones to improve computer technical support, reducing service time, increasing the officials satisfaction, and offering added value to the institutional processes

All plans of "Business Continuity" that involve high availability become viable because of the costs of communications infrastructure that is currently handled in the implementation and management and the complexity of storage infrastructure for alternative Datacenter. It is part of the project, concentrate storage for multiple users and servers on a storage area network SAN that enables high speed transfer rates of dedicated high-speed storage and data backup that data to be distributed to avoid congestion of the network. As a first phase determined the commissioning of independent SANs environments that provide a lot of advantages SANs allow you to add bandwidth without overloading the main LAN. They also facilitate the realization of online backups without the users perceive a degradation in response time. All devices can be centrally managed. Instead of managing the network based on each device, the storage can be managed as a single entity, which facilitates the control of storage networks, potentially, could consist of tens or even hundreds of servers and other devices. As a second phase sought data replication for high-speed interconnect that connects servers and storage devices to replicate data between the two main and secondary Datacenter this will create an independent and external network that connects to local network, but acts as self-sufficiententity.

This Project consist in analyze and design a virtual private network with VoIP services for the company Loktus Supply, using different kinds of free software. During the development of the project we studied a variety of solutions in order to provide the remote access service for the network users, getting finally the described solution in this document (Hamachi Software). Moreover we checked different kinds of software to implement a PBX (Asterisk Software) in to the company, all this in order to implement VoIP services or services convergence that may facilitate the internal and external communications, this service implies the use of some software or softphone (X-Lite) which is free also. To complement the services mentioned we looked for encourage the network security with a proxy server which was installed and configured also through free software (Squid Software). Finally, we did a formal recommendation to the company about the use of this technologies

By the previous thing and much more, it is that thanks to the interconnection of the central seat of the Cooperative University of Colombia (UCC) and the center of English (English Training Center), the processes of update of information will be able to be made at any time and without delay

Diseño de la actualización de red LAN e integración WLAN en el área de conferencias y campus universitario de La pontificia universidad javeriana de Cali

In the last years the Technologies of Communication have evolved and facilitated the access to the information. One of the different technologies from communication that exist is the wireless technology, that allows to interconnect cellular computers, telephones, and, PDAs (Personal Assistant Data), by means of radio signals ò of light. Between both mentioned types of technology, the one that is used more she is the one of radio, by its smaller cost and the type of topologies that allow to implement. The university campus when initiating year 2006, counts on an installed base of 1,400 computers for distributed end users in 15 buildings with a speed of connection of edge to 100 Mbps, in their great majority and counts on a Backbone that communicates the buildings to 1 Gbps. In surroundings like the one of the Pontifical Javeriana University of Cali, in which wiring of HD of connection points is had a network, diverse situations with problematic a special one often appear, which can be seen solved by means of this type of solutions. This project proposes to design the infrastructure of network WLAN of the Pontifical Javeriana University of Cali that allows to the access to the radio network through all the university campus and areas of conferences, solution that must allow a centralized administration to diminish cost of operation, monitoreo and maintenance of the radio network. The main idea of this project is to make a design based on technical information collected that they support the solution that offers this design, thus was made initially a technical investigation on the viability of the project, soon interviews to the people which they handle the network and later to the users were made. The raised design fundamentally looks for to improve the quality of the service of the Pontifical Javeriana University and simultaneously to allow to the implementation of new technologies, improving the connection to the data network to 1Gbps until the end user: this manages when having all the ports of the active devices and cards of network at the same speed, leaving the opened doors to use connections to 10Gbps in the future

This work this based on him design of a network of high speed and a wireless connection, deepening in the Networks of architecture ATM, wireless Ethernet Gigabit and for an organization. reflected in the evolution of the end technology, like it is the ETHERNET GIGABIT that offers a greater bandwidth in the communication in the Backbone. The Organization will directly be benefitted by this project. All the previous one supported in a series of theories like the ATM and ETHERNET GIGABIT and companies that produce Equipos and Software for the design of the networks (LAN-WAN) of high speed. The clinical Mira, counts on an infrastructure based with elements of network LAN, when they initiated the communications design to provide and to guarantee the transport of data, the clinic has a network of low speed, now as a result of the great increase of elements of network, workstations (pcs) and the exigencies of the new yield and applications bandwidth, this causing the birth of the new and better technologies like ATM and ETHERNET GIGABIT. If continuous with network LAN of low speed, its maintenance becomes difficult and increases the cost of property of the elements. On the other hand it does not guarantee an efficient and opportune service in case of faults of the system of the network.The clinic sees the importance of updating its local network to obtain greater a bandwidth and the control of I deal in the network. In this project some of the technologies involved and related to the field of the networks are outlined and the data transmission, as well as the concepts of ATM and GIGABIT-ETHERNET and means of interconnection of networks in the quarters of telecommunications and their requirements for the control of I deal and congestión in the network of the organization. The project has as I title “Design of a network of high speed for the facilities of the political movement Mira in the city of Florencia Caquetá”, and it is divided in three great chapters which are: In the first part of the project we found the introduction of the project, the antecedents of the company, description of the problem, Formulation of the Problem, the objectives, general and especificaos, Justification and feasibility study In the first one I capitulate we found the theory to use to develop to the project deepening but about the specific subjects in our case technology ATM, ETHERNET GIGABIT AND WIRELESS NETWORKS In the second I capitulate we found the design of the propose solution, initiating with the present study of the situation of the company, the proposal of chosen solution (Alternative of solution) for our plan of work. where a design for the update of the present Network settles down, following the guidelines of the organization Finally we will find conclusions of the proposal, the bibliography with a glossary of the computer science area. That it will serve as referring.

I finish to security of network in the companies this becoming general as the companies try to understand and to face the risks associated to the fast development of the applications and you practice commercial that are implemented in infrastructures of the enterprise networks. The network security is a complex question, had to the abundance of security technologies partly. Nowadays, many of the companies follow without knowing the different mechanisms from security, do not know the different systems from authentication, nor from cryptography, and the existing policies of security, have been created in agreement with the next requirements but of the same organization. They have been written book multitude on the subject of the company security, from introductions to technical details of security. When the study was begun, it observes that there was much information to compile (all she available in books and the Web), and that the security subject is quite extensive and complex to watch, considering the technologies that have come implementing. This study tries to provide the technical details on the cryptography foundations, systems of authentication and policies of security in the networks. In this study the necessity of the norms of security for the networks is seen, for that reason some guidelines occur that are used as guide for the implementation of a network infrastructure. This study insists on the systems of authentication, like part of a solution for the security between the emitter and the adressee of the information, also is made emphasis in the policies of security, knowing that the implementation of these is an important pillar in the technological development of the companies and the commerce

Through history Telephone Systems have played an important role as in the relation between people as in companies because it allow us to establish direct and worldwide communication. Signalization System Number 7 (SS7) must be implemented within Telephone Systems because this protocol is in charge to establish the call, the information exchange and the operations routing. Protocol SS7 gets its relevance on Voice on IP (VoIP) by the way it interacts with PSTN. It is an international standard implemented in Colombia as signalization system. Nowadays Telephone Systems have turned into an economy factor due to the reduction in telephone bills thanks to the VoIP technology in which the data net joins the net facilitating worldwide communication. Through this study a VoIP was designed for The "UNIVERSIDAD COOPERATIVA DE COLOMBIA" Neiva, to establish a communication system among the national branches getting a considerable bill reduction as the long distance calls. Protocols used by VoIP technology like H323 and SIP are important as well, because they allow us to establish internet communication, and gateway control protocols like SGCP and MGCP are used to control VoIP gateways . The developed study, consist in the design of a Voice on IP net for the existing data-voice net in the "UNIVERSIDAD COOPERATIVA DE COLOMBIA" Neiva allowing national communication between branches.
