Resumen
In this article we want to determine the impact that climate change has had over recent years in the hydrology of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, Magdalena, Colombia. Specifically in the variables precipitation and temperature. Based on the data provided by the IDEAM (Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies), which are acquired through its website: ideam.gov.co To determine the impact on precipitation in our study area, the data were downloaded from the IDEAM platform, then organized and tabulated, the missing information was obtained by means of the statistical regression line method. The average precipitations were calculated by means of the Thiessen polygons method in order to obtain an average value of precipitation in the study sub-basin. In the case of temperature, because there is no data in this specific area, a brief analysis of the global average surface temperature (average of the air temperature near the surface of the soil and the surface temperature of the sea) is presented. ), analyzing the following from the most recent WMO information: which were the 17 hottest years since 1850; linear heating trends defined by different sources (IPCC and WMO) and in different periods of time, at the national level a brief analysis is also carried out to obtain information on which were the hottest years and decades, for the period between 1961 and 2011 and because there is no information from that date since the IDEAM has not published new bulletins referring to average temperatures in the country that provide us with the calculation of this variable, it was decided to project this data until 2019 by means of the Gumbel method in order to observe the temperature trend in the country. By tabulating these data we can determine how hydrological variables such as precipitation and temperature have behaved over the years in which IDEAM has registered, obtaining in a visual and numerical way the variation of these until today, as also the correlation that exists between these two variables.
