This project will be carried out in the first semester of 2013-1 in the area of psychology of the American School of Bogotá. Therefore, we want to emphasize the importance of the development of socio-affective skills that will allow the boy and girl to distinguish themselves even more from the rest of the people and perceive themselves as an autonomous being; we must believe that the children of today do not cease to amaze us because of their intelligence, sensitivity and great curiosity. To formulate the process of psychoeducational intervention it was necessary to identify the general needs of the practice site to develop the main topic, specific guidelines are used to establish the diagnosis, these refer to semi-structured interviews with teachers and psychologists of each of the sections (preschool and primary), in this way, take information that allows to build the intervention methodology. It is for this reason that accompaniment workshops will be implemented to improve the self-schema of the girls and boys of the American School of Bogotá; It will also prevail in the design of actions that help to develop individual competences, with the aim of generating self-recognition and self-care that they have as autonomous and different beings. Throughout the process, different situations are identified such as: aggressiveness and disrespect among peers, in addition, the need to reinforce body care and social skills, with children of the preschool and primary level of the American School of Bogotá. Having this initial information, the diagnosis is made, which structures the first phase of development of the present project, and allows to establish the definitive theme of the same, which for this case is the child's self-protection. This topic is developed from a series of important components such as the identification of risk situations and the possible assertive responses that can occur; besides the work in social skills, which are reflected in the ability to say NO, in front of dangerous situations, such as child abuse. Other important factors for this topic are those related to socialization with others, which they develop through stable interpersonal relationships that allow them to be points of help and support. Similarly, it is appropriate to take into account the issue of self-care, which must be worked from the own body and collective recognition to changes that may manifest over time (puberty and adolescence), without excluding respect for the other and coexistence, as a mechanism of group and individual self-protection.
