Resumen
The present research has the purpose of analyzing the content of the three types of stations, such as: commercial, community and public interest; Is done in order to identify if these stations promote a culture of peace for the youth of Bogota. The stations that are analyzed in the investigation are, La Mega Bogotá as sample of commercial transmitter, Suba to the Air, like community transmitter and Colombia Stereo, being this transmitter of the State, is taken like radio public interest. All in the daytime range between eight in the morning and nine. For this, samples of six days of emissions of the month of April were taken, considering that, for these days, the country and the Colombian capital were going through events of great media impact and the young people were organizing marches to evidence their nonconformities with the current government. Subsequently, matrices were created with the data collected and an analysis of the data was made. In analyzing these scenarios, it was determined that today the radio that young people listen to does not promote a culture of peace, despite being an appropriate communication tool to generate social change, it was evidenced that this means does not contribute to this.
