Resumen
The objective of this research is the analysis of the current environmental state and the treatment of the section of the Arzobispo River Canal, comprised between the National Park and the North-Quito-South Avenue, where it flows into the Salitre River which, in turn, flows into the Bogotá River regarding the factors that impact the quality of the water directly in its course and the environmental social responsibility of the diverse stakeholders that interact with it. This work was carried out through field visits, for the recognition of the actors, and through interviews for the collection of data. Finally, the results were analyzed, highlighting the practice of RSE. We concluded that the community is aware and perceive the problems that affect the river; they state that there is a lack of efforts, of organizational strengthening and of true commitment in order to create administration models that allow maintaining a balance between society and environment. They also mention the lack of articulation of all the actors, who work in an individual way and at a local level, because a joint is not made with the interested entities, neither with other communities of the city that are heading toward the same interests; so that this way they could be able to increase their efforts, to acknowledge the processes which are being carried out, and to exchange the knowledge that makes possible to generate true changes, to potentiate their intervention capacities, to make strategic alliances and to facilitate integrated participation scenarios throughout the city of Bogotá
