Resumen
In the last decade the incidence of myopathies in broiler chickens has been increasing according to the different authors consulted, data that support this presentation indicate the identification with more frequency in the benefit plant. Attributed to genetic selection that focuses on the development of the breast muscle; its relationship with deficiencies in the uniformity of management and nutrition that end up affecting several individuals from different lots. In order to know the different myopathies in the broiler chicken, a systematic literature review was made out, identifying possible causalities, morphological alterations identified in the muscle, the macroscopic aspect as associated microscopic and the possibility of affecting or generating health implications public. The systematic review focused on the consultation of three databases, where a selection was generated identifying the articles into a descriptive studies, scientific articles and systematic reviews related to myopathies in broiler chickens, published in the period of 2015 to 2018, whose main objective is to generate a document with more relevant and updated aspects of myopathies. 69 articles were obtained a result of the review process, when applying exclusion criteria, 32 articles were taken as a base for the final document. The systematic review allowed determining which myopathies affect the broiler, which present the most incidences; factors that influence the presentation of these myopathies and metabolic alterations present in the affected chicken. This job concludes that myopathies do not represent a biological risk for public health.
