Given the importance of culture and innovation in organizations for competitiveness, development of the present study was to determine the culture of innovation and competitiveness in support of small and medium enterprises. The study was based on authors like Acosta, C., Alviter, L and Littlewood, H. (2014), Castillo, G and Leal, B. (2010), Echeverría, J. (2008), Lloverás, E., Martinez , R. and Pazuelo. (2009) and Mejia and Arias (2014), which were taken into account for the Revison of the literature on the variables under study. The research was documentary, experimental and non trasnseccional design. The collection of information was obtained through bibliographic records. As a result it was obtained that the culture of innovation affects the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises. It is concluded that the culture of innovation in support of competitiveness in small and medium enterprises, affects these processes and it contributes to these organizations innovate in their products and services so they can compete in a market increasingly dynamic and competitive.
