Resumen
The aqueducts are systems that allow the transport of water in the form of a continuous flow from a collection point (intake) to a point of distant consumption (populated). In the middle of this tour some works are presented that allow the treatment of the liquid so that it is suitable for human consumption. An element that constitutes a primary treatment, but necessary to carry out an adequate purification process, is the desarenadores, whose function is to decant the granular material (more than 200 microns) from the source and momentarily retain it in an area called sludge storage. , in order to prevent particles entering the adduction channel or the PTAP (Drinking Water Treatment Plant) and hinder it creating serious problems, thus decreasing the hydraulic capacity of the plant. Once the sediments have reached the maximum level of sludge storage, it is necessary to carry out the maintenance of the system, but it is at this point that the main drawback is presented since the washing system used by these devices is usually inefficient reaching the point if necessary, a manual removal of the material present in the bottom of the structure. It is in this way that when noticing this shortcoming, the idea of carrying out the evaluation of the washing system of the conventional and Dufour sanders is presented. For the development of this evaluation, hydraulic models were made of the types of grit we have as an object of study, since by observing the behavior of these, based on similarity laws, we will be able to know the conditions that will be presented in the prototypes, that is, the structure in real dimensions. To address the issue, this research work was structured in five (5) chapters, which are Chapter I: Generalities, where the subject is introduced analyzing the problem found, defining a general objective for its resolution, several specific ones. Chapter II: Theoretical Theoretical Framework, here some convenient theoretical considerations for the approach of the same are contemplated. Chapter III: Methodological Framework, the methodology that will be used for the development of the research is outlined Chapter IV: Development of Tests and calculations, which consists of applying the development methodology to achieve the general objective. Chapter V: Results and Conclusions, where the conclusions obtained throughout the investigation and the recommendations are exposed.
