Resumen
The present work synthesizes the information collected through a systematic analysis of literature and research. Objective: evaluate the acceptance criteria of granular materials and their influence on the final resistance to compression in concrete made with Tequendama and Argos cement in the city of Villavicencio. Methodology: initially the granular material producing that supply the city of Villavicencio were identified, with the available material the characterization and evaluation of the material was made based on the criteria established by the INVIAS and NTC, with the characteristics of the aggregates they proceeded with the calculation, elaboration, curing and compression failure of standardized concrete cylinders to measure the resistance and the performance of the aggregates. Results: the watershed of the river Guatiquía and Guayuriba were identified as sources of granular material. The granular aggregates of both sources accomplish the acceptance criteria established by the INVIAS and NTC, however, the granular aggregates of Guayuriba river contributed greater resistance to the cylinders made with Tequendama cement.
