The present literature aimed to perform a systematic review of the psychosocial factors associated with the crime of Filicide, understanding this as the murder of a child by one of their parents. During the review it was found that the main psychosocial factors related to this phenomenon are severe depressive episodes, the presence of mental illness, psychotic episodes, insecure attachment experienced in childhood, deficit in the capacity of perception, as well as socioeconomic status. low, limited education, severe marital discord, poor social support, alcohol consumption, psychoactive substances, stories of abuse and intrafamily abuse, fear of rejection, shame, external pressures and the fact of not being prepared to be parents. In conclusion, filicide is considered as a multifactorial and multifaceted phenomenon, since it is associated with multiple psychological and social factors that motivate parents to commit this type of aberrant acts, as well as a significant difference in the gender of the aggressor. evidencing that men are motivated mostly by anger, aggression and impulsiveness and women by a basic psychological disorder. Therefore, we sought to have greater understanding of the characteristics that surround this type of crime.
