Resumen
The Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) is a set of symptoms that occur in children when the alienating parent, carries out an unjustified campaign of denigration against the other, through the use of strategies that transform the consciousness of children, in order to see, hinder or destroy their ties to the alienated parent. It is a problem that has been increasing over the years, taking into account that it occurs mostly in the context of divorce when it becomes a contentious process, where parents begin to involve the children of that conflict, without having to consider the damage and discomfort that this generates. The purpose of this document, was to describe, through a systematic review of literature, the main psychological consequences in children who experience the PAS, composed at a cognitive level, of distortions to even psychotic pictures; on an emotional level including dependence and lack of empathy; finally, at the behavioral level, related to anxiety disorders.
