This research addresses this theme of displacement considering that these events bring traumas to its sufferers and from the social psychological study these phenomena is necessary to design strategies for patient care or community affected. Specifically addresses the issue of how women who have experienced this violence, fail to adapt to a new reality and if the resilient qualities, understood as the attitudes that enable people to get to traumatic events preserving the motivation involved in this process and positive view of fututo. As a general objective was sought to analyze the impact that brings the forced displacement in 8 women in the district 21 of the city of Santiago de Cali to acquire resilient qualities. At the methodological level, the work corresponds to an ethnographic study with a qualitative design and exploratory approach was consulted by semiestructura interview and field diary to 8 displaced women from different parts of western and southern Colombia. Within the research results was investigated by the displacement process, it was found that in all cases was a traumatic event, not only when the act of direct violence also by the facts that were derived from offset to occur, but the current settlement, victims of displacement demonstrated fully ignore the aggressors actors as the same causes shown as innocent in the midst of a foreign conflict. In the second part, we found that adaptation strategies were to seek support from state institutions, family, and community, finding strength in this process, likewise, women adapt to labor market showed performing different jobs to to generate income for the household. Finally, we found that if they have developed resilient qualities, some more than others, have come to accept what happened, and have managed to face the future with optimism despite the uncertainty this creates, likewise accept their current situation without this means nostalgia for past life style. We conclude that the surveyed women experienced a traumatic event with serious implications that led to assume a different played in his life in the rural life as adaptation strategies have sought the state, family and community support role, however, has been the integration into working life which has enabled them to improve their living conditions, in all cases resilient qualities, positive attitudes towards the future and overcoming the displacement was found.
