The following work is an intervention project that aimed to strengthen the self-concept. Which, some authors like Lucas & Carbonero (1999); Esnaola, Goñi & Madariaga (2008); Albalate (2011) define it as the way of perceiving also, which mediate the experiences and in which influence aspects such as self-efficacy and belief system of a person. According to Musitu Garcia & Gutiérrez (1997) self-concept consists of the, family, emotional and academic social dimensions. In the process of intervention strategies, social skills training, which were taken as lines of action for strengthening the self-concept are included. The intervention was conducted with 16 young students, aged between 14 and 16 years, belonging to the school John Paul II in the city of Cali. A pretest- posttest with self-concept test form A (AFA) Musitu, Garcia & Gutiérrez (1997) consisting of 36 questions and rated from one to three was performed. The operation was performed through three lines of action aimed at strengthening the four dimensions of self-concept (social, academic, emotional and familial) Musitu proposed by Garcia & Gutiérrez (1997). With a method of training in social skills of listening, recognition and expression of emotions, participation and cooperation in the context of the class. Six activities were developed in three sessions, with a time of two hours per session. The results are established from the differences between raw scores, mean and deviation obtained in the pre -test and post-test performed are discussed in comparison to the background found in similar interventions.
