This work is an exploratory descriptive analysis that is based on frequency distribution of positive cases to distomatosis. Data were collected from the Rio Frio SAS Ecological Animal Benefit Plant, from the post-mortem veterinary inspection of 51,175 animals, of which 375 positive cases of dystomatosis are reported, which in relation to monetary losses represents approximately 18 million Colombian pesos. Geographically, the places with the highest incidence were identified: Guaca, Santander with 25% of positive cases, San Andrés, Santander with 11% and Sabana de Torres with 10%. It is advisable to evaluate the control systems of the parasite's biological cycle according to its geographic tendency.
