Resumen
The main purpose of the current research was to define the influence of the selection process in employees turnover from 2 different companies located in the city of Cali. With this purpose a case study was developed in which the clock in and clock out records (2014-I-2015-I) were collected. Additionally a semi structured interview was carried out with 2 people from each company (the highest and lowest entailment time) in order to represent their perception about the recruitment process they both took part. Finally the managers were interviewed to specify the selection process protocol carried out in previous years. At the same time the current protocol was requested to the company in charge of the process nowadays. The initial approach showed that there was a direct relationship between the current recruitment process and the employee turnover in both companies. The main conclusion showed that although the current selection creates an expectation among workers about the company’s prototype they are going to work, this does not directly affect the employees’ decision to conclude their labor liasson within the first few months of employment.
