The subject of study of research is the application of a didactic strategy, that allows to support the processes of reading comprehension by means of a Virtual object of learning, contributing to offer this tool in the daily practices of the teachers , which for being innovative, contributes to significant learning in the fifth grade of the New Horizons Lyceum – locality of Bosa in Bogotá (Colombia). This study is part of the qualitative approach, the phenomenon object of analysis is the didactic strategy. It is considered descriptive-explanatory, incorporating the observation, and the application of surveys and tests, to understand the didactic practices. The design corresponds to research-action as soon as it is intended to generate actions for the transformation of educational practices and to allow the reflection of the actors involved, seeking the innovation of the daily practices in the development of Communicative skills through the use of ICT. The didactic strategy was developed under the interdisciplinary methodology focused on learning teams (MICEA). The information was analyzed from the triangulation of three instruments: techniques for data collection, theoretical perspectives and interpretation by the researcher. One of the most important results of the study is the evaluation of the didactic intervention by the students who consider that the process of reading by means of the Virtual object of learning is more interesting and generates more motivation.
