Resumen
The present research is based on a Framework research project entitled "DESIGN OF ASFALTIC MIXTURES MODIFIED BY THE USE OF NON-BIODEGRADABLE PRODUCTS", directed by the engineer Juan Manuel Cruz Rodríguez, and whose purpose is to verify the feasibility of using non-bio- Biodegradable in the design of asphalt mixtures, in order to give recommendations of use, to find an outlet to the final disposal of the materials and nevertheless verify the possible improvement in the own quality of the asphalt mixtures. Therefore, it is mandatory to acknowledge the scientific contribution made by: Engineer Juan Manuel Cruz Rodríguez in his capacity as General Director of the project and in turn Technical Advisor to the students Lina Andrea Herrera Díaz, Miyer Amilkar Nunpaque Barajas, Ruddy Xiomara Oliveros Álvarez , With respect to the work called "Technical feasibility of a mix design for the production of modified asphalt with recyclable tires using rim fiber in a mixing ratio between 0 and 2.5%", and the students Herder Fabian Burgos García, Angie Estefani Hernández Hortua, Juan Diego Rojas Hernández, for the project called "Technical feasibility of a mix design for the production of asphalts modified with recyclable tires using rim fiber in a 2.5 to 5% blend ratio"; Belonging to the program of Civil Engineering, year 2015, of the Cooperative University of Colombia, Villavicencio headquarters. Projects that allowed the realization of the present article that had the objective of determining the technical viability of the use of asphalt recyclable tires in a mixture ratio between 0 and 2.5% and 2.5% and 5% in the city of Villavicencio; Using the Marshall method, through the feasibility and flow test according to the test standard INV E 07. From the National Institute of Roads (INVÍAS). The thematic axes are developed from a conceptual or theoretical perspective, followed by an experimental approach or research, where the mechanical properties of rubber-modified asphalt mixtures were determined, as well as the characterization of the materials composing the mixture.
