    In Colombia there is an internal conflict that has resulted in the deterioration of a healthy and sustainable social coexistence, insecurity problems are becoming more frequent, the institutions that ensure security have lost the horizon and their measures are ineffective, education models remain the same and citizen awareness has not been created. As an aid to mitigate the insecurity problems detected, there is the implementation of new technologies such as the IoT that allows improving the response times of the authorities to the different emergencies that may arise. Considering the above, it is intended to design the architecture based on IoT technology to a two-story house located in the neighborhood El Tintal that allows to analyze the different devices and technology that interact there, to have a design of the architecture and a prototype of interactive simulation with the solutions staged. With the development of this project, it was possible to simulate the operation of the different devices used, generating a global idea of the behavior of each one of them in real scenarios.

    In the course of the years a great progress is evidenced at the moment of designing a telecommunications network for any company, this leads to generate solutions according to the requirement of the same ones; such as prioritization of channels, network security, network availability among many more solutions that are made in a design. Therefore, the company American School Way is involved, since, according to its needs and expansion, it requires a redesign to its telecommunications networks, which are involved in four sites. The redesign of an interconnection solution must take several points of view such as the reorganization of IP addressing, also the theory must be rooted by applying key concepts such as ETHERCHANEL, STP, DHCP, SWICHTPORT, VLSM among other key categories for the network in question. To finally reach a good result highlighting the organization, quality, service and security of the network.

    The security infrastructure of a residential complex is analyzed, wher different deficiencies are evidente at the physical level, since the complex is in an área of insecurity and has few cameras and does not have services that seek both external and internal security their habitants. There fore, it is sought that through this investigation the group evidences its shortcomings and takes the pertinente recommendations to improve its security externally and internally. The problems evidenced in the set Will be sought to be solved through different improvements such as local área networks, thus we will allow a reduction in costs at the maintenance level, it is sought that through the IP protocol it is posible to have control of all the devices located in the network; also through Iot technology, different sensors will be given to control unfortunate situations that may occur within the residential complex, this for Access control, fire control, temperatura control and lighting of the place, all this through intelligent devices that allow free security guards from tasks. With the implementations that are shown throughout the project, it is sought to obtain a robust security system and a broad control of different situations, this given that the security guards will be able to have more freefom to go to different points of this and rely on technology that it is recommended to install and thus have greater control of the entire complex for the comfort of all its inhabitants.

    In this monograph a proposal is delivered where it is intended to achieve a viable internet access system for the rural populations of Colombia. Taking into account that Colombia has a significant relief and inhabited but very remote areas, a way to bring Internet access is sought, knowing the multiple advantages and positive effects that the Internet network has on populations. One of the great advantages of satellite internet access is the possibility of covering remote geographical areas such as those in which many Colombian populations are found, due to geographical elements and road access. Hence, several options of satellite internet access technology are exposed to select the most viable one that meets the access requirements at a viable price combined with terrestrial wireless technology. Taking into account that satellite technology has a specialized technological scaffolding, an example of a satellite link design is shown, including information management, delays, frame organization and physical effects that must be taken into account when making this type of links, as well the design of the earth station is exposed.
