To this end, the origin of digital banking in both countries is identified. Then, it analyzes the evolution and impact that has brought the digitalization of banking in the two economies. In addition, the digital banking models where the countries have the best performance are presented. Finally, conclusions and recommendations that each country should follow to correct weak aspects of this economic activity are presented.

Through this investigation it was possible to analyze aspects that contemplate the deficit of this competitive market. For the development of the study, it was based on authors such as Porter (2017), Ballou (2004), Soret (2010), Blackwell and Stephan (2002) among others. The type of study is the documentary, with a non-experimental and transectional design and in which two variables were analyzed throughout the investigation; The perception that SMEs manage is to say (they do not have a vision beyond their own limits), and the resources they have to optimally perform their work and have a great performance in the market. The above favored for the formulation of conclusions, which aims to encourage SMEs to achieve a perspective of market competitiveness superior to those they possess to make decisions and thus be a fundamental piece to achieve the goal of being prestigious companies, quoted, enterprising in the business world. After having analyzed all this process it can be concluded that one of the main causes of errors is the fact that SMEs are not performing correctly, since their performance is not suitable for them to be recognized in the industry. In order to train entrepreneurs with a perspective beyond what they are used to.

The main contribution of this work is to provide guidelines and directions to increase competitiveness and optimization in the logistics and the business sector of the city, hoping that the application of these might generate a positive impact on the innovative ecosystem of the district of Santa Marta. The technique used to obtain the data was centered on a documentary compilation of academic databases, as well as a bibliographic review and documentary analysis of secondary and governmental sources that investigate competitive factors and process optimization in companies, with the aim of generating discussion and analysis in this regard from the perspective of both the authors and professional experts in the area of knowledge.

This is because they bring with them the incorporation of updated industries that allow greater conservation of products with perishable characteristics, the protection of the merchandise avoiding smuggling or opening of the container, the collection of essential data for commercial operators and the automation of processes through the interconnection of these with the help of tools such as Big Data and Blockchain. In this order, the present research aims to analyze the use of smart containers and the lessons derived for Colombia and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), taking the South Korean experience as a case study. To achieve this, the origin and evolution of smart containers within the digitalization and optimization of international trade processes is identified. Then, the use of smart containers in South Korean ports is recognized. And, finally, the lessons learned from the Korean experience with smart containers for Colombia and LAC are analyzed.
