The aim of this presentation was to make an inquiry of the theoretical conceptions of the concept of normality as mental health, for this 20 documents were reviewed, the different conceptions of normality, their categories and the factors associated with these classifications were reviewed. From this review the analytical summaries were elaborated, which were analyzed according to the established objectives. In this sense, it can be concluded that psychological normality is the adjustment or adaptation to socially and clinically established norms, which specifies the way in which a thing must act or do, as well as the consequence of maintaining the normalization of the same individual. In the theoretical reviews it is emphasized that normality has been classified according to statistical, normative, adaptive, clinical, social, and ideal criteria, therefore, it is a way of explaining, understanding and addressing the human psyche and the concepts of health and disease. The research work is part of the state of the art project around the concept of mental health; in this case, on the concept of normality of the line of research positive mental health, which has as conceptual horizon the understanding and explanation of mental health, from the paradigm of complexity, to look at it as a whole and differentiate it from the readings of the pathological. From a phenomenological perspective of Husserl, Hidegger, and Binswager of the existential ways of living, from the positive expressions of itself in four dimensions of the being around its mesmidad, interpersonal relations, project of life and quality of life.
