Resumen
Currently, the Cooperative University of Colombia’s Systems Engineering Program at Bucaramanga headquarters, in line with the provisions of the Ministry of Education has developed a project entitled: "Virtual Learning Objects to support the educational activities of the components of the curriculum". Each of the components (Basic Science, Systems and Organizations, Telecommunications and Programming) focuses on general competence which is constructed from the development of specific skills for each subject. However achieving the generic skills components requires the development of activities and content to be managed in accordance with the teaching-learning moments defined by MICEA (Interdisciplinary Methodology Centered Learning Teams) so that transfer knowledge to achieve student passivity, large groups, unavailability of a teacher, the accuracy and reliability of information. It is at this point where virtual learning objects can be helpful to provide educational and teaching strategies for education. Similarly the use of "open source" tools can be for learning and development guidance as learning objects that can provide solutions to the problems of education are presented when developing content areas. The purpose of this project is to support the teaching of the subject Linear Algebra, substance belonging to the Basic Sciences component of the Systems Engineering Program of the Cooperative University of Colombia, Bucaramanga, by using information and communication technologies (ICT) that enable the development a virtual learning object able to offer students several options for learning new subjects. The virtual learning object will have theoretical papers, evaluations, examples, exercises and activities for each of the sixteen weeks of class.
