Colombia has been working hard on the issue of being a more participatory country in the world economy, for which it adopted several important measures that have allowed it to have more acceptance internationally. One of these measures was to adopt international financial reporting standards (IFRS) in such a way that it’s accounting and financial information is presented homogeneously with other countries, thus allowing a better participation in the global economy.
